Nitecore New P30 LED Torch

The Nitecore New P30 is the next generation 21700 searching and hunting torch, now powered by a 21700 lithium-ion battery yet still retaining the compact size with the 25.4 mm barrel diameter. It utilises a Cree XP-L HI V3 LED for a maximum output of 1000 lumens and a beam range of 618 metres on the high setting.

The torch is powered with the included Nitecore NL2150R 21700 5000 mAh USB-C lithium-ion rechargeable battery for best run-times due to the larger capacity, and is charged outside of the torch via the USB Type C charging port on the battery itself using the included Type C charging cable for fast charging.

Although a 21700 lithium-ion rechargeable battery is recommended, the New P30 can also use an 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable battery, two RCR123A lithium-ion rechargeable batteries or two CR123A lithium metal non rechargeable batteries using the included battery adaptor that makes the batteries compatible, which provides great versatility.

The NEW P30 features five brightness levels and three special modes that are controlled with a tail switch and side mode button. The tail switch provides momentary illumination by holding a half press and turns the light on / off with a full press until a click is heard. Once turned on the side mode switch will cycle through ultra-low, low, mid, high and turbo with each press.

Strobe is accessed by holding the side mode switch while the torch is on, then once in strobe the mode switch can be held to cycle to SOS and beacon location. One press of the mode button will exit special modes and return to the last used brightness, or it can be turned off at the tail. The last used setting (excluding SOS and beacon) will be remembered next time the torch is turned back on.

The mode switch also acts as a power indicator with a blue light that will blink slowly once battery level drops to 50% and blink rapidly when power levels are low with the light switched on. With the light switched off the blue indicator can also display the battery power by holding the mode button with the light off and single pressing the tail switch. The blue light will flash to show the voltage, for example if the voltage is 4.2 V the light will flash four times, pause and then flash two more times.

The integrated advance temperature regulation (ATR) technology regulates the output of the New P30 according to the working condition and ambient environment to maintain optimal performance.

Thanks to the 1 inch diameter body, the NEW P30 is compatible with the GM02 weapon mount and bike mount. The torch is also compatible with the NFR50 red and NFG50 green 50 mm filters.
