Bought this for red light for astronomy. It is good enough to take on walks in the dark for full bright illumination. New battery type gives better life. Control is through two buttons, but this is OK in the end. I found it comfortable to wear for an hour or two. It is a class device, if expensive.

Bought this to replace my very old 4-cell incandescent MagLite. the LED makes a MASSIVE difference, this is super-bright and just as sturdy as the old torch. A bit pricey maybe but the quality is excellent.
