It is small and very powerful with easy adjustment to the beam, has a flashing mode and could be cliped to bike for increaced visibility, has also got an SOS flashing mode that would be a bonus if lost in the hills and you can remove the lense to reveal the candle mode ideal for lighting a larger area, for example a tent!
I asked Torch Direct for a recommendation based on what was needed from a torch and my budget. I was amazed to receive a prompt and helpful reply with Stewart engaging and answering the actual questions asked (rare these days!). I cannot recommend either Torch Direct or the product highly enough. The torch is well made, super bright with lots of relevant features. Thank you!

Bought this for red light for astronomy. It is good enough to take on walks in the dark for full bright illumination. New battery type gives better life. Control is through two buttons, but this is OK in the end. I found it comfortable to wear for an hour or two. It is a class device, if expensive.

Bought this to replace my very old 4-cell incandescent MagLite. the LED makes a MASSIVE difference, this is super-bright and just as sturdy as the old torch. A bit pricey maybe but the quality is excellent.
