Fenix WF26R Rechargeable LED Torch

The WF26R is a powerful, heavy duty rechargeable LED torch ideal for industrial work, security or search and rescue applications, and uses magnetic or cradle charging. Utilising a Luminus SFT70 LED it offers a maximum output of 3000 lumens on turbo and throws the beam up to 450 metres distance.

Featuring a dual tail switch system, the WF26R can access a choice of four brightness levels, plus strobe and SOS mode. The torch is turned on and off with the tactical tail switch (round button) by fully pressing it down, and it also offers a momentary function by half pressing the button (the light will turn off when the button is released). Once the torch is on, the auxiliary switch (oval button) will cycle through eco, mid, high and turbo with each press.

Strobe is activated by holding the auxiliary switch for 0.5 seconds when the torch is turned on, then once in strobe a single press will cycle through to the SOS mode, and a second press will return the torch to the previous brightness setting. Strobe can also be momentarily accessed with the light off by holding down the auxiliary button, and the strobe will go off once the button is released. The last used brightness setting (excluding strobe/SOS) will be remembered next time the light is turned on.

The included Fenix 21700 5000 mAh lithium-ion battery is charged inside the torch with the supplied magnetic charging cable either directly or via the cradle. The torch can be placed into the charging cradle with the magnetic charging cable fitted, or the magnetic charging cable can be removed from the cradle and placed it directly onto the magnetic charging port. Once connected the other end of the cable plugs into a USB power source, and an LED indicator on the front will go red to indicate charging is in progress and will turn green once charging is complete after approximately 3 hours when charging the included battery.

For convenience the cradle can be permanently wall or car mounted, but the removable magnetic cable still allows the flexibility for the torch to be charged elsewhere or even on the go with a USB power source (not included).

A built-in battery indicator is located on the front, which displays the battery status for 3 seconds every time the torch is turned on when using the included battery. A solid green light indicates saturated, flashing green is sufficient, solid red is poor and flashing red is critical. The battery indicator also acts as a low voltage warning light while the torch is in use when using the included battery.

The overheat protection will automatically reduce the turbo or high lumen output if the temperature of the torch reaches 60°C or above in order to protect the LED from overheating. This will last until the torch drops below 60°C after which the turbo and high modes will be selectable again. When using the included battery, if the battery voltage drops below 3 V the torch is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until eco output is reached, at which point the LED indicator will flash red to remind you to charge the battery.

The clip allows easy attachment to a pocket, clothing or backpack and the included lanyard makes carrying the WF26R easy.

Tested in laboratory conditions to ANSI/PLATO FL1 standard using 1 x Fenix 5000 mAh 21700 lithium-ion USB rechargeable battery under the temperature of 21±3°C and humidity of 50% - 80%. Results may vary between torch, battery and environments.
