Olight PL-MINI 2 Valkyrie Rechargeable LED Weapon Light

The Olight PL-MINI 2 Valkyrie is the new and improved version of the PL-MINI Valkyrie. It offers an even more compact design than before, now with a smaller rail adaptor making it compatible with a wider range of firearms and also smaller firearms that have a very short rail.

It features a Cree XP-L HD CW LED that produces a maximum output of 600 lumens of white light. The lightweight design means the balance of the handgun isn't disrupted and the small size makes it perfect for holster carry.

The light will stay at 600 lumens for 1 minute and then the output will gradually decrease to 60 lumens. The time taken to step down and the running time at 60 lumens is 1 hour in total. The light is powered by a built-in 260 mAh lithium-ion battery and is charged using Olight's signature magnetic charging system. Simply magnetise the cable to the bottom of the PL-MINI 2 and plug the USB end into a computer or a USB mains/car adaptor.

The new rail mount mechanism is not only shorter, but is also adjustable. It can slide backwards and forwards on top of the light, so that once the rail is attached the light can then be slid back into position to fit snugly under the firearm.

The attach and release mounting system has also had a slight upgrade. It still features a swing arm mechanism located on the edge of the torch that when released opens up the mount, but once opened it can now be pushed out to one side to open up the rail mount further, allowing you to easily attach and detach the torch to the gun rail. Once in position, release the rail mount section and it will tighten around the rail and then close the swing arm and the PL-MINI 2 will be securely fitted to the gun rail.

It is designed for handguns with a picantinny rail or a glock style rail and comes with two mount adaptors (1913 and GL) to make it compatible with a wide range of pistols, now including subcompacts thanks to the new design. The glock adaptor (GL) is already fitted, if you wish to mount on picatinny (mil-std-1913) rails then the GL adaptor needs to be swapped for the included 1913 adaptor.

The smooth reflector provides a beam that can reach up to a maximum range of 100 metres. It features a defined hotspot to enable the beam to go further, but is accompanied by a wide softer spill beam so that you can still see around you.

Two ambidextrous switches and are located on the back of the light and are pushed downwards to activate the light. A quick press of the either button will turn the light on and another press will turn the light off. If you don't press and release the button quick enough it will trigger the momentary operation and the light will stay on until you release the button.
