Olight Arkfeld Rechargeable LED Torch & Green Laser Pointer

The Olight Arkfeld is a dual output torch with both a cool white output and a green class 1 laser in a slim, compact body. It offers 1000 lumens output on the highest setting, before dropping down to 300 lumens after 4 minutes to prevent the LED from overheating, and is available in black, blue, OD green or desert tan.

The green light comes out the front of the torch, the same as the white light, which allows the Arkfeld to be comfortably held in the hand to point with and is useful for presentations, tour guides highlighting areas along the way or just playing with the cat! The laser is a class 1 laser which is deemed to present no serious risk to eyes or skin, however it should not be directly shone into the eyes or onto skin and should only be handled by responsible adults.

The built-in 1050 mAh lithium polymer battery is recharged inside the torch using the included MCC3 magnetic charging cable. Simply connect the magnet to the base of the Arkfeld and plug the USB end into a computer or suitable adaptor with at least 1 A output. The light on the cable will go red to show charging is in progress and turn green once charging is complete.

A four LED battery level indicator sits under the switch that lets you know when the battery needs charging. Four green lights indicate above 75% power, three lights indicate 50-75 % power, two green lights indicate less than 25-50% power, one green light indicates 10-25% power and a red light means less than 10% power and that the torch needs to be charged asap.

Five brightness levels, strobe and a green laser are available using the intuitive switch interface which is comprised of a selector ring with a button in the centre. Rotate the ring clockwise to select the white light or rotate the ring anti-clockwise to select the green laser. In both laser and white light modes, press the central button once to turn the light on and off. In white light mode, select the brightness level with the torch turned on by holding the button to cycle through moonlight, low, mid and high in turn, and releasing the button on the desired output.

The moonlight mode can be accessed directly when the torch is off by pressing and holding down the switch for 1 second. Turbo is accessed by a quick double press when the light is off or on, and strobe is activated by three quick presses while the torch is on. The memory function will remember the last mode (turbo will be remembered as high) if the torch is turned back on within 1 minute of it being turned off, and after that will default to Mid mode.

The Arkfeld contains two timer settings; long timer (9 minutes) and short timer (3 minutes). Double click and hold the button while the light is on to enter this setting. One blink indicates the 3 minutes mode, and two blinks indicates the 9 minutes mode. Once the timer is up the torch will automatically turn off.

A handy lockout function prevents the torch from being accidentally activated and is accessed with the light off by pressing and holding the switch for 2 seconds to lock it and the same again will unlock it. The Arkfeld also features a dual purpose magnetic tail, so you can use it as a hands-free work light, and a secure stainless steel pocket clip features a wide design to make it easy to carry the torch on clothing or a backpack.
