Coast TX12 Tri Colour LED Torch

The Coast TX12 Tri Colour LED torch is a variation on the popular TX10, designed specifically for signalling, making it great for railway operators and the like where a traffic light system is required.

It features a much brighter white light from a single XP-G2 LED, rather than a multi chip LED, that now boasts 380 lumens output and an increased beam range of 80 metres. It also has just green and red additional LEDs and no longer features the blue, as this isn't required for signalling.

All three colour outputs are controlled by separate buttons, and another new design feature for the TX12 means that the lights cannot all be turned on at the same time, thus preventing the danger of a mixed or inaccurate signal being given to the driver. When turned on in any mode, pressing another coloured button to the one that is currently on will override it, turning that light off and the newly pressed colour light on. This makes going from a green to red signal fast, efficient and free from confusion.

As well as signalling, the red light preserves the eyes natural night vision and is quite useful for animal spotting as they aren't bothered by a red beam, while the green light also helps to preserve our night vision, but also provides good colour contrast which is great for map reading.

The included nylon pouch has also been designed in a way to prevent activation while in the pouch. The square walls of the pouch are reinforced so that when the torch is inserted with the buttons positioned to the corners of the pouch, the rigid design prevents the corners being pressed in so that the torch can't be turned on. A lanyard is also included for easy carrying.

Powered by just three AAA alkaline batteries, the TX12 has a run time of up to 3 hours.
