Olight Arkfeld UV & White LED Rechargeable Torch

The Olight Arkfeld UV is a dual output torch with both a cool white output and a ultraviolet (UV) light in a slim, compact body with a 1000 lumen white light output on the highest setting.

The UV LED has a wavelength of 365 nm which is perfect for seeing things that are invisible to the naked eye such as identifying fluorescent minerals or even finding hidden markings or stains.

The built-in 1050 mAh lithium polymer battery is recharged inside the torch using the included MCC1A magnetic charging cable. Simply connect the magnet to the base of the Arkfeld UV and plug the USB end into a computer or suitable adaptor. The light on the cable will go red to show charging is in progress and turn green once charging is complete.

A four LED battery level indicator sits under the switch that lets you know when the battery needs charging. Four green lights indicate above 75% power, three lights indicate 50-75 % power, two green lights indicate less than 25-50% power, one green light indicates 10-25% power and a red light means less than 10% power and that the torch needs to be charged as soon as possible.

Five brightness levels, strobe and a UV output are available using the intuitive switch interface which is comprised of a selector ring with a button in the centre. Rotate the ring clockwise to select the white light or rotate the ring anti-clockwise to select the UV light. In both UV and white light modes, press the central button once to turn the light on and off. In white light mode, select the brightness level with the torch turned on by holding the button to cycle through moonlight, low, mid and high in turn, and releasing the button on the desired output.

The moonlight mode can be accessed directly when the torch is off by pressing and holding down the switch for 1 second. Turbo is accessed by a quick double press when the light is off or on, and strobe is activated by three quick presses while the torch is on. The memory function will remember the last mode (turbo will be remembered as high) if the torch is turned back on within 1 minute of it being turned off, and after that will default to Mid mode.

The Arkfeld UV contains two timer settings; long timer (9 minutes) and short timer (3 minutes). Double click and hold the button while the light is on to enter this setting. One blink indicates the 3 minutes mode, and two blinks indicates the 9 minutes mode. Once the timer is up the torch will automatically turn off.

A handy lockout function prevents the torch from being accidentally activated and is accessed with the light off by pressing and holding the switch for 2 seconds to lock it and the same again will unlock it. The Arkfeld UV also features a dual purpose magnetic tail, so you can use it as a hands-free work light, and a secure two way stainless steel pocket clip makes it easy to carry the torch on clothing or a backpack.

Please note: *The turbo setting after 4 minutes run-time will decrease to 300 lumens to protect the LED from overheating.
