This Nitecore V2 is a smart charger with quick charge technology designed for charging Lithium-ion/IMR and NiMH batteries in your car. It can charge various rechargeable batteries in its two independent charging slots with up to a maximum of 6000 mA total output when two batteries are charging (3000 mA per slot).

The V2 is unique in that it is in the shape of a cup so that it fits in the cup holders of your car, keeping the charger secure from movement while accelerating and taking bends. It can only be used in a vehicle using the included 12 V car cigarette lighter adaptor.

The charger will automatically select the default charging current, based on it's intelligent detection of battery types and capacities, when a compatible battery is inserted with the correct polarity. The current can also be manually selected with the function button and the blue LEDs will indicate the charging current selected. One blue LED = 1 A, two blue LEDs = 2 A and three blue LEDs = 3 A. Under normal charging the green LEDs will illuminate one by one and turn solid when charging is complete.

The maximum current that can be selected if a low capacity battery is in either bay is 2 A. If a battery is inserted with reverse polarity or is short circuited the three green LEDs above the charging slot will flash simultaneously to notify the user of an error.

If a 0 V IMR battery is inserted the charger will also flash all three LEDs, in which case press and hold the function button on top of the charger to activate the recovery mode. Depleted protected lithium-ion batteries can also be activated, however the charger will automatically attempt to recover these without holding the functional button and will flash all three green LEDs if recovery is not possible.

Safety features include reverse polarity protection, shirt circuit protection, temperature monitoring to prevent overheating and over time protection that will calculate the charging time of each battery. When the overall charging time exceeds 10 hours the V2 will automatically stop charging and display a fully charged status to prevent overheating.

Two USB ports are located on the top of the charger that offer a maximum output of 2.1 A (1 A per port) so that you charge external devices at the same time as your batteries while you are on the go.
