Nitecore T4K Rechargeable LED Key Ring Torch

The Nitecore T4K is a revolutionary pocket torch with features such as the multi-functional OLED display screen, daily mode and demo mode, advanced power cut-off technology and invincible quad-core performance.

A maximum output of 4000 lumens (short burst) is possible from the four Cree XP-L HD V6 LEDs and the total reflective optic lens provides a soft uniform light that can shine up to 209 metres distance.

The OLED display provides information about the current status of the T4K when the light is turned on. It successively shows the battery level/voltage, lumen output, the user mode and the run-time remaining. After the screen goes out it can be reactivated by pressing the mode button. There is also a display demonstration function, but it is for demonstration purposes only and not a reflection of the light status.

The operational buttons comprise of a power button and a mode button. The power button turns the T4K on with a short press and then the mode button cycles through ultra-low, low, mid and high with each press. A single press of the power button will turn the light off. The T4K will remember the last used brightness level the next time it is turned on.

Turbo is accessed with the light on or off by holding the mode button down and is a momentary function that will return to the previous state once the mode button is released, or once the countdown timer on the screen ends. The length of the countdown timer will vary depending on how hot the torch is, and will be shorter if the torch is already quite warm. Ultra-low can be instantly accessed while the light is off by holding down the power button.

The T4K also features either daily mode or demo mode. When in demo mode the light will only activate for 30 seconds with a timer showing on the display and if untouched in this time the light will go out, which is useful if you are quickly using the light to open a door or accidentally turn the light on without knowing. This mode is recommended if the T4K will only be used occasionally for short time periods.

When in daily mode the light will stay on until you press the power button to turn the light off. To switch between daily and demo mode, simply hold both the power and mode buttons down at the same time until the light flashes once to indicate demo mode or twice to indicate daily mode and the screen will also display the selected mode.

To prevent accidental activation, the T4K has two lockout modes. Lockout 1 is a half lockout mode and disables the use of the power button, however you can still hold down the mode button to access turbo should you still need partial access to light in an emergency. This is activated by holding down the power button while the light is on until the screen shows a padlock icon with a 1.

Lockout 2 is a full lockout mode and disables all output functions. It is accessed the same way as lockout 1, however you continue to hold the button longer until the screen shows the padlock icon with a 2. To unlock the light, short press and then long press the power button until the padlock on screen unlocks.

The built-in 1000 mAh lithium-ion battery is charged via a USB-C charging port on the end of the torch using the included USB-C to USB-A cable. Once connected to a USB power output the charging indicator will blink slowly while charging is in progress and turn solid once charging is complete. The screen will also show the battery level and display a full battery icon once the battery is fully charged. A full charge takes approximately 1 hour, 30 minutes.

Remaining battery power is indicated by pressing the mode switch while the T4K is turned off and the OLED screen will display the current stats. When the battery voltage is below 3.4 V the power indicator beneath the buttons will flash blue every 2 seconds to inform the user to charge the battery.

The advanced temperature regulation module allows the T4K to regulate its output and adapt to the ambient environment to maintain optimal performance.

An included key ring clasp allows you to easily attach the T4K to your keys or a bag strap so that it is always on hand, or you can use the deep carry pocket clip to securely hold it in your pocket or attach to the peak of a cap for hands free use. The mechanical quick release design on the key ring attachment means that you can easily release the torch from the key ring by pressing in the button, and then reattach once done to save fiddling with the key ring.
