Nitecore P30i Rechargeable LED Torch

The Nitecore P30i is a high performance rechargeable torch with a maximum output of 2000 lumens from a Cree XHP35 HI LED.

Designed for hunting and searching applications, the P30i has an impressive throw of 1000 metres and comes supplied with a tactical remote tail switch cable. The remote switch cable can be plugged directly into the tail cap USB-C port for easy attachment, eliminating the need to unscrew and replace the tail cap.

In addition to those features, the P30i is also a rechargeable unit that uses the USB type C port for faster and efficient charging. The included Nitecore NL2150HPi battery is a patented i series battery that has a high discharge current of 15 A in order to be able to access the high output of the P30i and a regular 21700 mAh battery is not compatible with the P30i.

Two CR123A lithium metal non-rechargeable batteries or two RCR123A lithium-ion rechargeable batteries can also be used in the torch with the included CR123A carrier, however these cannot be recharged inside the torch and only a maximum output of 1000 lumens is possible. Never attempt to charge CR123A lithium metal batteries.

With the included NL2150HPi battery inserted into the torch, ensure that the head and tail cap are tightly screwed on before lifting the dust cover to reveal the Type C USB port, that is located on the tail of the torch. Plug the included cable into the USB Type C charging port, and the USB-A end into a suitable USB power source. The tail charging indicator light will slowly flash while charging is in progress and turn solid when charging is complete. A full charge takes approximately 4 hours when charging the included battery with a 5 V, 2 A output.

The tail indicator will also show the remaining battery voltage when disconnected from charging or the side switch indicator will show the voltage when the battery is first inserted with a series of flashes. For example if the voltage is 4.2 V it will flash four times, pause and flash twice more. The side switch indicator will also display remaining battery power when the torch is turned on by being steady illuminated for over 50%, slowly flashing for below 50% and rapidly flashing for below 10%.

Five brightness levels as well as two special modes are available and are operated with the circular power button on the tail and a side mode button on the head. Fully press the power button to turn the torch on/off, or half press the button for momentary illumination until the button is released. With the light on the brightness levels can be cycled through ultralow, low, mid, high and turbo with each press of the mode button. Direct access to turbo can be achieved momentarily while the light is off by holding the mode button, or achieved constantly for 30 seconds while the light is on by holding the mode button.

The last used brightness setting will be recalled the next time the torch is turned back on. With the light turned off beacon can be accessed with a triple press of the mode button and then a long press will cycle between the beacon and SOS. To exit the special modes single press the mode button.

With the included pressure switch cable connected the light can be turned on momentarily by holding down the pressure pad (B) and will turn off when released, or turned on constantly by pressing the button (A). Once the light is constantly turned on, single press B to cycle through the brightness levels or press and hold B to directly access turbo for 30 seconds before reverting to the previous mode. Strobe can be accessed momentarily with the light off by holding down A, or constantly with the light on with a long press of A.

The integrated advance temperature regulation (ATR) technology regulates the output of the P30i according to the working condition and ambient environment to maintain the optimal performance.

Note: *Tested without temperature regulation active. As this is a high drain device, the temperature regulation may lower the output to reduce the temperature of the torch when used in the turbo mode.

Tested to ANSI/PLATO FL1-2019 standards in laboratory conditions using the included 21700 5000 mAh 15 A battery. The data may vary slightly in real world use depending on battery type, individual usage habits and environmental factors.
