Nitecore MH10S Rechargeable LED Torch

The Nitecore MH10S is the big brother MH10 V2, still featuring a 21700 lithium-ion battery, yet in a more compact body. A Luminus SST-40-W LED provides a higher output of 1800 lumens with a longer beam range of up to 294 metres.

It also features the same dual fuel technology that means as well as being powered by the included NL2140 21700 4000 mAh lithium-ion battery, it can also use an 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable battery (discharge current over 8 A), two 16340 lithium-ion rechargeable batteries or two CR123A non-recharge lithium metal batteries when using the included battery carrier that allows for compatibility of the other battery types. This flexibility means you have more than one option when it comes to a backup, including a non-rechargeable option for when power isn't available.

With the included NL2140 battery inserted into the torch, the battery can be charged whilst inside the torch using the supplied USB type C charging lead. Ensure the isolation disc has been removed from the battery compartment, and that the head and tail cap are tightly screwed on before lifting the dust cover to reveal the Type C USB port, that is located on the head of the torch. Plug the included cable into the USB Type C charging port, and the other end into a suitable USB power source.

The blue charging indicator light built into the switch will slowly flash while charging is in progress and turn solid blue when charging is complete. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours, 45 minutes when charging a 21700 4000 mAh battery using an adaptor with a 5 V, 2 A output. An 18650 battery can also be charged inside the torch, however the 16340 batteries cannot be charged inside the torch. Never attempt to charge CR123A lithium metal batteries.

Five brightness levels as well as three special modes are available and are all controlled with the metal side switch. The light is turned on and off with a single press of the button, and once turned on simply hold the button down to cycle ultra-low, low, mid, high and turbo. The last used brightness level will be remembered when the light is next turned on.

Long press the button while the torch is off to instantly access the ultra-low mode. Special modes are accessed by double pressing the button with the light on or off and will always access the strobe first. Once turned on in strobe, press and hold the button to cycle through strobe, beacon, SOS and release the button on the desired mode. To exit special modes press the button to turn the torch off. As an extra defence feature, the strobe randomly changes frequency which is useful for disorienting an attacker as the human eye cannot cope with the fast changing strobe.

A built in blue power indicator in the side button indicates the remaining battery voltage when the battery is first inserted with a series of flashes. For example if the voltage is 4.2 V it will flash four times, pause and flash twice more. The indicator will also flash once every 2 seconds while in use when the battery level reaches 50%, and once the battery is close to depletion the indicator will continuously flash quickly to remind you to charge the battery.

The included NTH10 tactical holster is made from sturdy plastic that keeps the torch in place and allows for immediate quick draw when required without having to lift a flap up first, and provides a convenient way for carrying your torch.

The integrated advance temperature regulation (ATR) technology regulates the output of the MH10S according to the working condition and ambient environment to maintain the optimal performance.

Please Note: The run-time of turbo is tested without the temperature regulation active, therefore results may vary if the output is reduced due to temperature regulation. Turbo is only accessible when using a 21700 or 18650 lithium-ion battery with a discharge current of 8 A or higher.
