Nitecore EDC29 Rechargeable LED Torch

The EDC29 is an ultra-slim, high performance rechargeable torch with a maximum output of 6500 lumens in the lumin shield mode. It features an OLED screen and utilises a USB Type-C charging port for easy and fast charging.

The OLED display provides information about the current status of the EDC29 when the light is turned on. It successively shows the brightness level & lumen output, the user mode and the run-time remaining.

The EDC29 features a lumin shield floodlight which offers instant protection with a broad wall of light plus the search spotlight which features a 400 m beam range for long range coverage. Two independent switches are located at the top of the torch, a power button and a mode button for easy operation.

To prevent accidental activation, the EDC29 has two lockout modes. Semi lockout mode is a half lockout mode and disables the use of the power button while the full lockout mode disables all output functions.

The EDC29 is powered by a built-in 2500 mAh lithium-ion rechargeable battery which is recharged via the USB-C charging port located on the side of the torch. The screen will display battery status while charging is in progress. A battery protection circuit is incorporated that provides over-discharge, over-charge and anti short circuiting protection.

Remaining battery power is indicated by pressing the power switch while the EDC29 is turned off and the OLED screen will display the battery level bar and the voltage. When the battery voltage is below 3.4 V the power indicator beneath the buttons will flash blue every 2 seconds to inform the user to charge the battery.

The advanced temperature regulation module allows the EDC29 to regulate its output and adapt to the ambient environment to maintain optimal performance.

So far no complain the torch are great in general except the torch should have some can of protection to protect the glass.

POWERFUL TORCH IN A SMALL PACKAGE.

Hi, Good quick delivery from Torchdirect, package arrived complete & undamaged. I have only marked it 4 stars as the torch was expensive with this company. Torch is excellent I am a gadget geek & have quite a few other powerful small LED torches. This is my new EDC one as the others are cylindrical & more bulky on your person. The flat design of the Nitecore EDC29 means you don't notice it in your pocket. Great torch & I would recommend Torchdirect as a company.

Simple and effective.

The best torch is the one you have with you when you need it. This is my second Mini-AAA (the first lives in the car). This torch is so light you can forget you are carrying it until it's needed. The switch mechanism is a simple twist, beam range is amazing, run time excellent. No multi-mode nonsense either.

Love the torch. A good size and lightweight too.
Brightness is amazing! And battery life is really impressive.
Having to remove the battery and charge the physical battery is odd, but it isn’t an issue. Very easy to do.

Decent Weight to performance.

For the size and weight, this headlight delivers with very well-thought-out modes. I have the extra battery pack for back up, but on the whole I use the Headlamp as is. The second light setting I use the most and it lasts a good long time. The red is easy to use on the buttons, perfect for camping. The best yet for me, and I have plenty.

Great torch for professional use

I knew that having a good torch was essential to my job but I didn't want to spend loads of money. This torch packs a punch and has a very handy clip that keeps it safe in my pocket when I'm leaning over railings and climbing ladders. Handy Torch. Bright on high setting.

I stay clear of Chinese crap pretend Lucas & Bosch etc. I have had Fenix from Torchdirect in the past & surprise surprise they are good quality & last well. Torchdirect are good to deal with rather than Fleabay.
