Nitecore EDC23 Slim Rechargeable LED Torch

The EDC23 is an ultra slim and versatile high performance rechargeable torch with a maximum output of 2500 lumens from two NiteLab UHI 25 LED's.

The UHi 25 LED's offer a small but high-intensive core which offers long-range coverage and extreme brightness, ensuring the EDC23 is perfect for a range of tasks.

The OLED display provides information about the current status of the EDC23 when the light is turned on. It successively shows the brightness level & lumen output, the user mode and the run-time remaining.

Two independent switches are located at the top of the torch, a power button and a mode button for easy operation of the five outputs, plus the strobe output.

To prevent accidental activation, the EDC23 has two lockout modes. Semi lockout mode is a half lockout mode and disables the use of the power button while the full lockout mode disables all output functions.

The EDC23 features a built-in optical sensor which detects obstructions and automatically reduces the output to 200 lumens to protect the torch from overheating. Once the obstruction is removed the torch will return to the previous output. This function is only available in the high, turbo and strobe outputs.

The EDC23 is powered by a built-in 1500 mAh lithium-ion rechargeable battery which is recharged via the USB-C charging port located on the back of the torch. The screen will display battery status while charging is in progress. A battery protection circuit is incorporated that provides over-discharge, over-charge and anti short circuiting protection.

Remaining battery power is indicated by pressing the power switch while the EDC23 is turned off and the OLED screen will display the battery level bar and the voltage.

The advanced temperature regulation module allows the EDC23 to regulate its output and adapt to the ambient environment to maintain optimal performance.

When you need the best ... choose Maglite every time!

The ML300L 2D torch feels solid and dependable and is a really good weight. The modes on it are useful. I keep it on #2 so that I have access to strobe for emergencies. I bought it for preflighting my aircraft for night flying and the spot to focus beam is ideal. I own several other maglites (including the ML300L 3D for my house) which have proven very dependable in many situations, I wouldn't choose another brand to be honest. I've also bought all my torches from Torch Direct, their customer service is excellent.

Great bit of kit

Firstly I didn't buy this, I received it as a free gift with my order and as someone who doesn't normally use a lighter I put it in the tin of candles in the kitchen and forgot about it. Tonight, November the fifth, time to have my yearly fire and used the plasma lighter, it is amazing, anything flammable the "spark" touches is instantly on fire, really impressive bit of kit, good build quality and no lighter fuel to buy. I would have been really happy with this if I'd paid for it myself, but even better free. Thank you Torch Direct.

Mini Maglite 2-Cell AA LED Torch
AN EXCELLENT TORCH

1. This is an excellent torch and has a much brighter light than the Mini-Maglite had years ago when ordinary bulbs were used. It is ideal for carrying in the pocket, briefcase, ladies handbag or anywhere else where a small lightweight handy torch would be used.
2. There are a number of accessories available, depending on its intended use, but one I would advise is a press-switch end-cap. The torch can then be operated with one hand instead of having to use two to switch it on and off. These can also be obtained with a lanyard attached.
3. Unfortunately I have yet to find a suitable belt-holder for this torch. Most of them are open-ended, elasticated and not easy to use. Something like a pen case with a flap at the top would be suitable.
4. Although these torches may seem a little expensive, they are well worth it, as they can last for years.
