NightSearcher Sigma ATEX Intrinsically Safe LED Right Angle Torch

NightSearcher Sigma RA is an intrinsically safe hand torch for use in hazardous locations and has an output of 325 lumens from a Cree LED.

Rather than facing forwards on the end of the torch like a regular hand torch, the light is positioned at a 90° angle, so that for example, if you need to inspect the inside of a small unit you could easily do so without having to hold the torch horizontal to be able to get the light where you need it.

Two modes of high and low are available, and are controlled with a single large easy press switch which is useful for when you're wearing gloves.

The Sigma RA is powered by four AA alkaline batteries which are securely fastened in the torch for safety and require a screwdriver to open the battery compartment.

Please note that only specific types of AA alkaline batteries are permitted for use in this torch, they are as follows: Energizer E91, Duracell MN 1500, Rayovac AL-AA and Varta 4906. Do not mix new batteries with used batteries or mix batteries from different manufacturers.

The durable synthetic industrial rubber construction allows for 1 metre impact resistance, while the rubberised handle gives a comfortable, non-slip grip.

Finaly a 16340 that charges

Grate idea for a battery, I use it for a laser pointer.
Have had issues with charging thies smaller cells on typical 18650 size charger or simmiler chargers.
Battery works really well on the laser pointer + no need for a additional single cell charger.
Highly reccomended type for torches and other devices using 1 cell and charged a fue times / when needed.

Great item with certain advantages over built in battery lights

This is a very useful light indeed. I bought it to supplement a built in battery COB work light, as a back up for extended use. It has the advantage of replaceable batteries so is absolutely perfect for my use. It would also be a very good back up in case of power cuts etc in a domestic situation given the easy availability of AA batteries. Obviously it was supplied by Torch Direct with their usual excellent service.

Nice torch - very bright. It took me a while to find out how to expose the USB charging point, but once you know it's easy. I haven't used it enough to verify the battery times, yet, but so far it is impressive. It would have been nice to be able to vary the narrowness of the beam.

A proper key ring torch at last

This Armytech prime c1 torch is expensive, but previous rechargeable key ring torches were always dead when you came to use them. So far this has been excellent. It is ridiculously bright for a key ring torch, although it is very easy to get used to using this as a proper torch. Probably slightly too large for a keyring, but I use it anyway, and am very pleased with it. I Like the standard lithium battery (18350) which can be replaced.
