NEBO Slyde King 2K Rechargeable LED Torch & Work Light

The NEBO Slyde King 2K is the upgraded version of the popular Slyde King, which is a rechargeable multi-functional unit capable of being used as a torch or work light.

The torch has a white LED with a convex lens which has been upgraded to emit 2000 lumens from the highest brightness setting, while the concealed work light located on the side uses COB LED technology to provide a maximum 500 lumens output. It offers a 4x zoom which can be adjusted from flood to spot by twisting the head of the torch.

As well as the white light, the COB LED has a constant red light output and red flashing output. Red light is useful for night reading, animal spotting and preserving night vision, and the flashing red light is good for attracting attention, making it useful for in the car or on camping trips.

Powered by a tailored 2200 mAh 18650 lithium-ion battery, the torch has a run-rime of up to 2 hours on the highest output. The battery is charged inside the torch via the USB-C port which is on the back of the torch and revealed by lifting the dust cover. The supplied cable is plugged into the USB-C port and then connected to a USB power source with the USB-A end of the cable.

The charging indicator in the switch will flash green while charging is in progress and turn solid green once charging is complete after approximately 4 hours (when using a high USB output). The switch also features a battery power indicator underneath that will glow orange when the battery level is over 25% and will turn flash orange every second when the battery levels drops below 25% to remind you to charge the battery.

All the functions are controlled by red the button located on the side of the unit, and the torch, work light and red constant light are all dimmable. When the light is turned on the in any of these outputs simply hold down the button and the brightness will gradually begin to dim before then getting brighter again. Release the button at the desired output for the task at hand. If the torch is in the compact position the button will turn the torch light on and off. If the torch is extended it will reveal the work light which automatically turns on in white, and single presses of the button will cycle through white, red and red flash.

The Slyde King 2K offers direct to red access by holding down the button while sliding the body open, and single presses will cycle backwards through the outputs from red. The torch as default will always come back on at the highest outputs for the white and constant red light, however the light can be programmed to remember an output of your choice so that when you next turn the light on it will come on at your memorised brightness.

The work light comes from one side of the body, which is useful when combined with the magnetic base, as you can stick it to a magnetic surface and the light would be facing downwards into your work area, or alternatively it can be stood up on a flat surface facing towards the desired area for hands free lighting also.

With an ingress protection rating of IP67, the Slyde King 2K is fully dust resistant and is waterproof up to 1 metres depth when fully closed and with the dust cover in place. A lanyard is included also for extra security while carrying.

Note: *Unscrew the head to remove the battery and plastic isolation disc before use, then reinsert the battery and ensure the head is screwed back on tightly.
