NEBO Franklin Slide Rechargeable LED Torch & Work Light

The Nebo Franklin Slide is a rechargeable multi-functional unit capable of being used as a torch or a work light.

The torch has a white LED with a convex lens, while the concealed worklight located on the side uses COB LED technology, with both capable of emitting 500 lumens from a the highest white brightness setting. The torch has a 4x zoom which can be adjusted from flood to spot by twisting the head of the torch, and the COB LED work light is revealed by sliding the neck of the torch forward.

As well as the white light, the COB LED has a constant red light output and red flashing putput. Red light is useful for night reading, animal spotting and preserving night vision, and the flashing red light is good for attracting attention, making it useful for in the car or on camping trips.

Powered by a tailored 2000 mAh 18650 lithium-ion battery, the torch has a run-rime of up to 2 hours, 30 minutes on the highest output. The battery is charged inside the torch via the micro USB port which is on the back of the torch and revealed by lifting the dust cover. The supplied cable is plugged into the micro USB port and then connected to a USB power source with the USB-A end of the cable. The charging indicator glows red while charging is in progress and turns blue once charging is complete.

All the functions are controlled by red the button located on the side of the unit, and the torch, work light and red light are all dimmable between 100%-30% output. When the light is turned on the in any of these outputs simply hold down the button and the brightness will gradually begin to dim before then getting brighter again. Release the button at the desired output for the task at hand. If the torch is in the compact position the button will turn the torch light on and off. If the torch is in the extended position to reveal the worklight, single presses of the button will cycle through white, red, red flash and torch. The Franklin Slide offers direct to red access (with the unit extended) by holding down the button while the light is off, and single presses will cycle backwards through the outputs from red.

The work light comes from one side of the body, which is useful when combined with the magnetic base, as you can magnetise it to a vertical magnetic surface and the light would be facing downwards into your work area, or alternatively it can be stood up on a flat surface facing towards the desired area for hands free lighting also.

The torch as default will always come back on at the highest outputs for the white and constant red light, however the light can be programmed to remember an output of your choice so that when you next turn the light on it will come on at your memorised brightness.

Note: The torch will be in demo mode which turns the light off after 8 seconds, to disable this press and hold the power button until the main beam flashes twice.
