The Magligte ML300LX 3 D cell torch offers a stealth matt finish which gives a better grip for tactical applications, and has now been updated to 746 lumens output on the highest setting.

Powered by three D cell alkaline batteries, this fine instrument has a whooping run-time of 32 hours on high, making it an ideal light for long night shifts such as security work, or just general regular use where you need a good run-time.

Five different functions of high, low, strobe, eco and momentary are available and are split into four function sets to select from. Once the desired user mode is selected, the outputs can be cycled through using the side mounted QuickClik™ electronic switch.

The function sets are as follows;
#1 General:
High, Low, Eco
#2 Outdoor:
High, Low, Strobe
#3 Law Enforcement:
Momentary, High, Eco
#4 Tactical:
Momentary, High, Strobe

The torch will always come preset in function set #1 (general). To change to a different function set simply unscrew the tail cap until the torch no longer turns on, pause for two seconds and then hold down the switch. While still holding down the switch, tighten the tail cap until fully tight and the torch will start to blink after four seconds, the number of blinks indicates the function set. To select the desired set, wait until the torch has done the required amount of blinks (e.g. four blinks for function set #4 Tactical), and then release the switch.

Spot to focus beam is achievable with a quarter turn of the head. Versatile and reliable, Maglite will get the job done.

Lighter than my old 2d metal case and substantially brighter. Could do with being able to narrow the beam more otherwise excellent.

Great torch and service from Torch Direct. Would recommend.
Feels very sturdy. 1/4 turn for focusing that’s really smooth, and like the option to have different beam programmes to suit preference. The high setting is really very impressive, and the eco setting is great for general torching and more than adequate for outside in the pitch dark which was good to see. The matt finish has a nice silky feel to it, but not in a slippy way. 3D version no more bulky or weighty than the 2D I feel, nothing significant anyway, which was something I was wondering about before getting this, so happy I went for this one. Good to have a torch that has the old style batteries. Good comms from T.D once ordered and also from Royal Mail.

Brilliant

A superb carry torch, bigger than my Fenix PD35, but still small enough to drop into a pocket.
Very bright, illuminating most of a field at night, the rotary switch is fast and easy to operate.
Particularly liked the free gift; a plasma phase lighter. Have played with this for hours, experimenting with magnetic interference, using it in different gases, etc. Much safer than a gas lighter.

I had an issue with a dive torch I bought a couple of years ago.

The customer care team asked me a couple simple questions then without quibbling advised it sounded faulty so the best thing to do would be to send it back and provided a pre-paid return label. Upon examination the team found the torch to be faulty. The torch was no longer the current version and was out of stock so they replaced it with the updated version for me!

This torch is all I hoped. Small, bright & takes just one aaa battery. The LED bulb should last just about forever. It lives in my pocket. Where I live we get frequent power cuts, this is invaluable. Expensive, but well worth it.

Maglite Spectrum Series Red Solitaire AAA LED Torch ( RED , LED ) …fantastic , I had the old version for 35 years and it still works “bulb type” + additional spare original bulb in the cap …. The only thing with the old Version it was with a clear lens so I made one out of some red plastic which did the job…..! The new one is far superior which I would expect after 35 years later , no modifications needed …😂 …. Need to test the new one more maybe write another review later …..! But in general, all is good. 😉👍🏻

I haven’t had the chance to test this torch yet but I am very impressed with how it feels in the hand. A very nice weight and you can tell it’s made well.
I am extremely impressed with the level of customer service I have received from the team at Torch Direct. I accidentally entered my old address when purchasing as my Apple Pay hadn’t yet been changed. The team were more than happy to change it for me and replied to my email asking them to extremely quickly. Royal Mail then delivered my parcel to the wrong address and the team did everything they could to help me find it even though they had put the correct address.
