Ledlenser ML6 Warm Light Bluetooth Connect Rechargeable LED Lantern

Boasting up to 750 lumens warm white light on the boost setting, the ML6 connect WL is a variation on the popular ML6.

As well as offering a warm white light, the ML6 connect WL is a smart lantern that can be connected to the Ledlenser app for control and personalisation, and a bluetooth wristband remote control is also included so that you can remotely control the output of the lantern.

As standard factory setting the ML6 WL features three warm white modes and a red light mode, all of which are also dimmable, and both warm white and red light flashing modes. The red light is good for preserving natural night vision, map reading and animal watching amongst other uses. If the outputs of the lantern have been customised with the Ledlenser app, then this can be reset to factory settings by holding down the middle button for over 8 seconds.

The three buttons on the top of the lantern controls all the functions of the lantern, or the corresponding buttons on the wireless remote can be used if connected. To turn the ML6 WL on, hold the central button for 1 second and the light will come on in the white mode. If you continue to press the central button within 5 seconds it will change to red, then white blink, then red blink and then cycle back to white. To turn the light off press and hold the central button for 1 second. The red light can be instantly accessed from off in order to preserve night vision by holding down the + or - button for 2 seconds from off.

When in the warm white setting the + and - buttons can be pressed to go between the three preset brightness levels, or holding down either the + or - button in white or red constant settings will gradually increase or decrease the brightness and the lantern will blink when it reaches highest output at 100% or the lowest output at 10% so you know when you gone the furthest you can.

The last used setting will be remembered the next time the torch is turned on. The warm white boost output is accessed by quick pressing the + button twice within 5 seconds and lasts for 1 minute before returning to the previous output. Instant access to low is achieved by quick pressing the - button twice within 5 seconds.

It is powered by a single 18650 lithium-ion battery which is installed by unscrewing the base of the lantern and inserted positive end first before fully tightening the base back up. The battery is then charged up inside the torch via the magnetic charging port on the side of the torch. Connect the magnetic end of the included cable to the charging point, and the standard USB at the other end plugs into a suitable USB port or adaptor.

The LED indicator built into the button will glow red while charging is in progress and turn green to show charging is complete after approximately 5 hours for a full charge. The LED indicator also illuminates green, yellow or red for 3 seconds when the torch is first turned on to indicate the battery level status. On the opposite side to the charging port, there is a dust cover marked 'OUT' that features a standard USB port so that the lantern can be used as a power bank to charge external devices.

To prevent accidentally activation the ML6 WL has a lockout function that is activated and deactivated by holding down both the + and - buttons simultaneously for 1 second until the red light flashes four times.

The base of the lantern has a strong magnet to attach to metal surfaces and it also come with a removable rubber base to either add extra security when the lantern is free standing or to hang the lantern from a hook or a pole using the metal hanging hook on the underside of the rubber base.
