GP Discovery CHW54 Work Light Pro Motion Sensor LED Head Torch

The GP Discovery CHW54 is an ultra tough motion control head torch, designed for the workplace or DIY projects around the house, with an output of up to 375 lumens.

The CHW54 is easy to operate with the dual push buttons on the top of the head torch which control the 4 outputs plus the brightness motion sensor for hands-free operation. The CHW54 uses a combination of a spot and flood beam for wide coverage and distance.

Powered by 3 AAA alkaline batteries the CHW54 offers 26 hours run-time in the lowest output. Alternatively, it can use 3 AAA NiMH batteries.

The headband is adjustable for comfort and the direction of the light can be altered with the hinged bracket that allows the torch to tilt forwards at a 60° angle. Designed to withstand severe weather and extreme impact the CHW54 offers an impressive 5 metres shock proof and an IP rating of IPX5.

Very bright for its size.

Small enough to go on a keyring but bright enough to be useful.
The battery lasts a fair time (I'd guess around 30 minutes use) I've had to charge it less than once a month - and the button changes from green to red when it needs charging.

Big OH ! Olight Marauder 2

I never understood all the fuss about the Olight range of “expensive” flashlights even though I own a small collection of other quality flashlights.
I seen the Olight Mini advertised for €135.00 on a French site recently I bought it & was so impressed with it I now own its bigger brother the Marauder 2.

The quality build the solid feel in your hand and the 800 metre throw, it’s like holding a Light Sabre.

Guys I’ve been there with Imalent 34000 lumen models, always hard to hold and super heavy still a very good built flashlight especially the flood feature but Olight has raised the bar for me in terms of quality build; fantastic technology and super easy to hold and store.

Olight……. OH YES.
Invest guys you won’t regret it.

Great throw and spill

Great service from TorchDirect with helpful support over the phone. I opted for the warm version as I find it easier on the eye. The torch is robust and has a great non slip finish. It sits well in the hand and is easier to operate be it in basic or advance modes. For purists it’s not a perfect beam on a white wall but this doesn’t show up in ‘normal’ use and is far outweighed by the excellent balance of throw and spill making it great for walking or indoor use. The torch can tailstand (great for power cuts) and has a strong magnet to attach to anything magnetic.

Bought this torch for it’s runtime spec and that you can replace the battery or carry a spare with you if needed. For my needs this is the perfect head torch, operation is simple, the various light levels are ample i think for most people and it is comfortable to wear with the wide headband. My only mistake ordering this torch was i didn’t realise the difference between usb-c and usb-c micro which was what i had so i needed to order the usb-c charger and a usb-c to usb-a lead for home use. The torch is great snd you shouldn’t be disappointed if you purchase one.
