Fenix HM62-T Trail Running Rechargeable LED Head Torch

The Fenix HM62-T is a lightweight rechargeable head torch that is designed for trail running, and delivers a maximum output of 1200 lumens form a neutral white light plus a red out output.

For extra durability and resilience the HM62-T is made from lightweight magnesium alloy, which is 30% lighter than the equivalent aluminium alloy body, and it is drop resistant to 2 metres distance as well as being waterproof to IPX8 standard, which makes it perfect for outdoor activities.

The main SST40 LED provides a light that can reach up to 150 metres with a maximum output of 1200 lumens in the turbo setting. The 2835 red LED provides a constant red and flashing red output. 

The button on the side of the head torch controls all the outputs. Press and hold for 0.5 seconds to turn the torch on in the white output. While on in the white output single press the switch to cycle through the low, medium, high and turbo outputs. Press and hold for 0.5 seconds again to turn the torch off. To turn on in the red output, double press the torch while off. While on in the red output, single press the side button to cycle the constant and flashing outputs.

To prevent accidental activation the HM62-T has a lockout function. To access the lockout, with the lamp turn off, press and hold the side button for 3 seconds and the low light will blink four times to show it is in lockout. Press and hold the side button again for 3 seconds to unlock the light.

The included 18650 rechargeable 3400 mAh lithium-ion battery is charged via the USB Type-C charging port on the side of the battery. turn the batter cover counter clockwise and remove the battery. Then simply plug in the USB Type-C cable at one end and plug the standard USB end into a suitable USB power source. The batteries indicator will show red while charging is in progress and turn blue once charging is complete.

Two CR123A lithium metal batteries can be used with this head torch, however they are not rechargeable therefore please do not attempt to charge these batteries. Alternatively two 16340 batteries can be use, perfect as a back up.

The LED indicator will also light up when either button is pressed when the light is off or when the torch is turned on to show remaining battery power. Solid green indicates 100-80%, flashing green indicates 80-50%, solid red indicates 50-20% and flashing red indicates 20-1% and the torch should be charged as soon as possible when at this stage.

The Sport Boa headband provides a comfortable fit, with the hollow design providing more breathability and the headband also features reflective strips, which are excellent for enhanced visibility. The new design allows easy and fast adjustment of the headband size so you can achieve the perfect fit with just one hand. Simply twist the clasp clockwise to shorten the headband, or pull the clasp upwards to release and loosen off the headband. The headband also features a safety whistle in case of emergencies.

Tested in laboratory conditions to ANSI/PLATO FL1 standard using a Fenix 3400 mAh 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable battery under the temperature of 21±3°C and humidity of 50% - 80%. Results may vary between torch, battery and environments.
