Fenix CL30R Rechargeable LED Camping Lantern

Big, bulky lanterns are a thing of the past thanks to the new Fenix CL30R rechargeable lantern, that delivers 650 lumens on turbo despite it's compact size compared to other lanterns that deliver the same output.

Powered by three 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable batteries (button top cells only), the CL30R offers a run-time of 4 hours, 30 minutes on turbo. The independent circuit design means that the lantern can also be powered be just one or two 18650 batteries, at the expense of a reduced run-time.

With a built-in hanging loop and tripod connection, there's an abundance of ways and places to perfectly position your lantern where you need it - including the water. The IPX7 rating means the lantern can be submerged up to 1 metre for 30 minutes and it can also float on the surface of the water.

Five brightness settings and flash means you will always be set for the task at hand. Press and hold the power button to turn the lantern on, and then each press will cycle through eco, low, mid, high and turbo. Double pressing the button will activate flash.

The battery level indicator displays remaining power by pressing the button once while the torch is off. The LEDs on the top of the lantern will light up, showing four lit LEDs for over 85% power and one lit LED for less than 35% power.

When using a 18650 battery the lantern can be easily recharged with the included micro-USB cable through a computer, or the mains socket using an adaptor. The CL30R also features a USB output so that it can be used as a power bank to charge other devices.

Mid: 100 lumens; 38 hours, 45 minutes run-time
Low: 50 lumens; 70 hours run-time

Flashing: 100 lumens; 70  hours run-time

Using 3 x Fenix ARB-L18-3500 18650 rechargeable batteries:
Turbo: 650 lumens; 6 hours run-time*
High: 350 lumens; 12 hours run-time
Mid: 100 lumens; 51 hours run-time
Low: 50 lumens; 93 hours run-time
Eco: 10 lumens; 400 hours run-time
Flashing: 100 lumens; 93 hours run-time

The above parameters are tested to ANSI / NEMA FL1 standards and may vary between lantern, batteries, environments and individual usage habits.

Please note: The CL30R is only compatible with button top 18650 lithium-ion batteries and therefore will only work with the Fenix L18 series batteries (the included ARB-L18-2600 or the ARB-L18-3500 available separately on our website) and NOT the L2 series batteries. The CL30R does NOT support the use of a RCR123/16340 type lithium-ion rechargeable batteries and CR123A batteries are not recommended.
