Fenix BC30R rechargeable LED Bike Light

The current Fenix BC30R is capable of a maximum output of 1800 lumens on the burst mode and 1000 lumens on the high constant mode, which is an increase of 200 lumens in both modes from the older BC30R.

The light is turned on and off by holding down the main power button and while the torch is on the same button accesses strobe with a double click. The + and - buttons step up and down through the brightness levels and the last used brightness setting will be remembered next time you turn the light on (except burst). If the battery level is too low the higher brightness levels cannot be accessed in order to reserve power and only become available again when the battery is charged to a sufficient level.

The handlebar mounted remote pressure switch features two buttons instead of one allowing you to operate the light without removing your hands from the handlebars. Hold the square button for 0.5 seconds to turn the light on and off and then each press cycles through high, eco, low and mid. The lightening switch gives instant accesses to burst, or the highest brightness setting according to battery status and once the button is released it will go back to the last setting.

The high quality Fenix handlebar mount features adjustable rubber shims to fit a wide range of handlebars and offers a quick detach function. It also allows for 30° horizontal adjustment and full vertical adjustment of beam direction. With both thick and shims it will fit handlebars between 22-28 mm, with just the thin shims it fits 28-32 mm and with no shims is fits 32-35 mm.

The super clear OLED screen displays battery charge status when you press the button once while the light is off and it also shows the remaining run-time for the selected brightness level as well as the brightness level you are on. This information combined with the automatic downshift in brightness output when the battery level is no longer sufficient helps riders to manage remaining battery power so that they aren't left in the dark

The BC30R has a built-in 5200 mAh 3.7 V lithium-ion battery that is easily recharged with the included micro USB cable. Simply pop open the rubber dust cover on the underside of the torch and insert the micro USB end of the cable, then plug the USB end straight into a computer USB port, or into a USB mains/car adaptor. If you use a USB wall adaptor it is recommend to use one with an output of at least 5 V, 1.5 A.

The charging indicator will flash green to show charging is in progress, turning solid green once charging is complete. A full charge takes approximately 5 hours and once complete remember to insert the dust cover to ensure the light is weatherproof to the IP66 rating.

With two Cree XM-L2 T6 Neutral-White LED's, the Fenix BC30R delivers the exclusive Fenix Dual-Distance-Beam System that refracts the upward beam to the ground so not to blind pedestrians but also providing light immediately in front of you, where most other bike lights cannot reach. It also has the lower section of the beam that provides the long beam range so you can still see ahead.
